Our team was approached by new clients who were looking for professional expertise to gain the assurance of a well-thought out plan to finish their basement that would enhance their homes’ future market potential while offering an immediate enjoyment to their current lifestyle. The challenge was creating a complimentary balance of their styles with the goal of tapping into the unutilized space with a multi-functioning vision. We designed a sophisticated entertainment area to host family & friends, worked in a full kitchen to visually present it as a bar, and the potential use of a young adult or in-law suite. Concealed design elements that strategically achieved this goal were a sleek cooktop with a retractable hood vent, a hidden working counter with a large serving counter for buffet platters, a contained games area that morphs for special occasions with an expandable dining table, and a murphy bed that seamlessly blends in as millwork. A timeless transformation with saturated colours add an excitement and deliberate cohesiveness to the space with deepened material layering that brings design features to the forefront!
